Que Phong has a new District Youth Union Secretary.

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 20, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Que Phong district held the 20th Congress of delegates for the 2017-2022 term.

Attending the event were comrades: Lu Dinh Thi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Le Van Giap - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and 125 delegates representing union members and youth of Que Phong district.

During the past term, Que Phong District Youth Union has built a working program focusing on political and ideological education for all union members and young people with a variety of rich and appropriate contents and forms, associated with holidays and major anniversaries of the Party and the country;

Que Phong District Youth Union has also launched and effectively organized political activities such as: working at the martyrs' cemetery, planting trees at Chin Gian Temple; strictly maintaining the practice of union officials wearing Vietnamese youth shirts every Monday; actively encouraging union officials and youth union members to organize civilized, healthy, and economical weddings...

In addition, the Que Phong District Youth Union also organized activities to show gratitude; mutual love and support; gave gifts to poor households and students with a total amount of up to 4 billion VND; there are many models of young people doing good business, earning from 50 to 150 million VND/year.

Promoting the results achieved in the past term, the Congress has set the following main goals: 90% of union members and youth in the organization will study, thoroughly understand and propagate the resolutions of the Party, the Union, policies and laws of the State and 6 lessons of political theory; not violate the law or social evils.

At the same time, the Congress also set the goal of continuing to build models of youth who are good at economic development and participate in activities to help the poor; admit 800 new advanced groups into the Party; establish and maintain the activities of 4 youth shock teams in 4 border communes; regularly coordinate with Border Guard stations to organize patrols and check border lines and landmarks; propagate to union members, youth and people to fight against illegal immigration to keep peace in the border area.

The Congress elected 27 comrades to the new Executive Committee. Comrade Nguyen Thi Hiep holds the position of Secretary of Que Phong District Youth Union, term XX, 2017-2022.
