British Foreign Secretary: 'Only Theresa May can deliver Brexit'
(Baongehan.vn) - Britain does not need any more elections, but instead, let Prime Minister Theresa May calmly carry out the most important task at the moment - negotiating with the EU about Brexit - British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson announced on Sky News channel on the evening of June 11.

"In just a short time, the British people have participated in three elections. The first was the general election in May 2015. Next, a referendum to take Britain out of the EU in June 2016. And most recently, the election on June 9, 2017. I think, at this point, the British people have understood what is important to them, and what they really need - Brexit. Therefore, Brexit negotiations with the EU are the top priority. And no one else, only Theresa May can do this well."
The British Foreign Secretary pointed out that although Prime Minister May's Conservative Party did not win a majority, the party's MPs still make up the largest number in Parliament. "Theresa May continues to play a role in forming the new government and helping people to remove their worries," the British Foreign Secretary affirmed.
Britain is in a state of "hung parliament" after Labour's victory in the Southampton Test (there are still 27 seats left to be won).

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called on Prime Minister May to resign in a speech after winning re-election in his constituency of Islington North, central London.
“She should go and make way for a government that truly represents this country. She has lost Conservative seats, she has lost voters, she has lost support and confidence. I think that is enough to resign,” Mr Corbyn said.
With Brexit negotiations set to begin in just seven days, the defeat of the British Prime Minister's Conservative Party has left no one sure how the new Government will be formed and where Brexit will go.
