Venezuela: President's supporters attack parliament
Supporters of Venezuela's government and president, Nicolas Maduro, have broken into the opposition-controlled National Assembly, according to local newspaper Nacional.

It is understood that several MPs were injured in the riots. France Press news agency reported that dozens of activists armed with sticks and dressed in red gathered in the parliament courtyard and fired flares.
Mass protests in Venezuela have been taking place for the past three months following a Supreme Court ruling to severely curtail the powers of the opposition-led National Assembly.
