This morning (July 27), at the National Convention Center, the 70th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017) took place.

| The Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. |

| Attending the ceremony were General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man and former leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government. |

In his speech, the General Secretary sent his warmest regards and deepest gratitude to veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions nationwide. |

| Art performances such as “Grateful to Ms. Vo Thi Sau”, “The young grass of the ancient citadel”… were performed by artists with deep emotion on the background of images of historical sites, reviving the painful but also heroic years of war. |
