Handing over a boarding house worth 300 million VND to Nhon Mai Primary School

(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 1 month of construction, a boarding house worth 300 million VND was handed over to disadvantaged students of Nhon Mai Primary School (Tuong Duong).

On the afternoon of June 26, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society and benefactors, handed over a 4-room boarding house with an area of ​​72 square meters to disadvantaged students of Nhon Mai Primary School, Tuong Duong.

This program aims to contribute to the effective implementation of the province's social security policy, promoting the core and bridging role in humanitarian and charitable work.

Located in a particularly difficult area of ​​Nhon Mai border commune with 75% poor households, Nhon Mai Primary School has 10 separate locations and currently has 390 students who are children of Thai, Mong, and Kho Mu ethnic groups. Of these, 24 students are in difficult circumstances and have to walk 3km through the forest and mountains to get to school.

The newly built boarding house replaces the old one made of bamboo which was degraded, not only ensuring the safety of the children but also bringing joy and great encouragement to the teachers and students of the school.

Also in the afternoon of the same day, the delegation presented 400 uniforms, 24 beds, 1 TV... with a total value of nearly 60 million to the school./.
