Images of clean, beautiful North Korea

A Malaysian photographer has encouraged others to visit North Korea, by revealing a series of stunning photos he took of the people and landscapes there.

Photographer Rueben Teo (31), who lives in Sarawak, Malaysia, had the opportunity to visit North Korea last month, Daily Mail reported. Teo confided that the first time he went to North Korea, he was extremely excited but also very scared. However, he quickly discovered the beauty of this country.

In Teo's experience, as long as he adhered to the rule of not taking photos of the military, checkpoints or military buildings, he was never stopped from taking photos of anything else.

The Malaysian photographer is also free to take photos while sitting in a car or walking on the streets. However, he said he always asks questions before lifting the camera.

Teo believes his photos show a different side of this mysterious country than what people previously knew.

"North Korea is incredibly clean and I can honestly tell you that it rivals Japan in this regard. Put North Korea on your bucket list," the photographer said.
