Communes in Nghe An have the highest debt for basic construction.

((Baonghean.vn) - According to reports from localities, up to now, the outstanding debt for basic construction under the new rural construction program in communes in Nghe An is 615,579 million VND.

The average debt is 1.42 billion/commune, of which the outstanding debt for communes that have met the standards is: 295,646 million VND (average 1.94 billion/commune). The outstanding debt is mainly concentrated in works and projects such as: Construction of headquarters; main roads; schools; medical stations; communal cultural houses.

Projects: Village and hamlet cultural houses; village and hamlet traffic; intra-field traffic,... debt is insignificant due to mobilization of people's strength.

Debt classification shows that: traffic criteria owes 117,178 million VND, irrigation criteria owes 42.3 billion, schools owe 169.5 billion, cultural facilities owe 87.3 billion and other debts are 199.1 billion VND.

Nghe An New Rural Area Coordination Office said: According to Decision No. 800/QD-TTg dated June 4, 2010 of the Prime Minister approving the National Target Program on New Rural Area Construction for the period 2010-2020 and Decision No. 695/QD-TTg dated June 8, 2012 on amending the principles of the capital support mechanism for implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Area Construction for the period 2010-2020, up to now, the debt of 615,579 million VND is mainly concentrated at the commune level. These are small, scattered projects that the commune has issued investment policies, approved and organized for implementation.
