Nghia Hung Commune (Nghia Dan) receives New Rural Standard Certificate

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 18, the Party Committee and people of Nghia Hung commune (Nghia Dan, Nghe An) solemnly held a ceremony to announce and receive the certificate of national standards for new rural construction in 2016.

Implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, although it is a purely agricultural commune and has a low starting point, thanks to knowing how to organize and mobilize people, Nghia Hung commune has completed the goal of building new rural areas and reached the finish line 2 years ahead of schedule.Recently, the commune mobilized nearly 90 billion VND (of which people contributed 65.5 billion VND) to implement the new rural criteria.

Along with upgrading basic infrastructure of transport, electricity and irrigation to serve production, the commune also upgraded public works such as schools, clinics, cultural institutions, thereby contributing to improving people's living standards; actively transforming crop structure, building production models to create jobs and increase people's income.

The commune has built 40 km more concrete roads, 2 more schools meeting national standards, the commune has met national standards in healthcare; average income per capita increased from 11 million VND/person in 2011 to 22 million VND in 2016; the poverty rate is only 6.67%.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting the new rural standards, comrade Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office for Coordination of New Rural Construction and comrade Le Hong Son - Chairman of Nghia Dan District People's Committee praised and congratulated Nghia Hung commune for reaching the new rural standard. At the same time, they hoped that the Party Committee and people of Nghia Hung commune would continue to promote the achievements, continue to mobilize people's strength, and effectively integrate capital sources for new rural construction so that the commune can develop more and more sustainably.

On this occasion, along with receiving the Certificate of New Rural Standard Worker, a reward worth 500 million VND from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for achievements in reaching the New Rural Finish Line, Certificates of Merit for collectives and individuals in building the New Rural Finish Line, Nghia Hung commune was also awarded a reward of 100 million VND by Nghia Dan district for achievements in reaching the New Rural Finish Line./.
