Packing crystal meth in milk cartons, sealing the lids and selling them
(Baonghean.vn) - Bich and Phuoc packaged 8 kg of crystal meth in milk cartons and then sealed the lids very sophisticatedly and professionally using modern technology to fool the police.
On the morning of August 1, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police announced that it had just coordinated with other units to successfully break up two drug cases, arresting five subjects, seizing 12 kg of crystal meth, 1 heroin cake and 2,000 synthetic drug pills.
Previously, through reconnaissance work, officers of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department discovered a group of people from Nghe An who often went to buy drugs from Laos and then transported them to Vietnam for consumption.
Through understanding the situation, the detectives discovered that this group was led by Nguyen Quang Bich (born in 1986, residing in Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district). The group's activities were very sophisticated and professional. In addition, this group also connected with subjects in other provinces and cities, so the scope of activities was very wide.

With the goal of cutting off this transnational drug trafficking ring, in June 2017, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department established Project 606S to combat the above group of subjects.
Through monitoring the movements of the subjects, the police determined that this group of subjects was preparing to "snatch" a large amount of goods from Laos to Vietnam in the next few days.
During 3 days (from July 25 to July 27), when Nguyen Quang Bich and Mai Dinh Phuoc (born in 1984, residing in Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district) brought goods from Laos and prepared to sell them, they were arrested by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department in coordination with the Technical Department 2 and the Traffic Police Department.
When arrested, the two subjects were carrying 8 milk cartons. When the authorities opened the cartons, they discovered a package of crystal meth inside each carton, totaling 8 kg of crystal meth. These milk cartons were professionally sealed with modern technology, making them very difficult to detect.
Based on the initial statements of Bich and Phuoc, on July 29, the Task Force continued to arrest Ho Quang Thanh (born in 1976, residing in Nguyen Quynh Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi) for illegal drug trafficking. After arresting Thanh, the police continued to seize 2 kg of crystal meth.
Not stopping there, on July 30, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department continued to successfully break up Project 456C, cutting off the drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam.
The police arrested two suspects: Vo Van Ha (born in 1987, residing in Dien Loi commune, Dien Chau district) and Nguyen Danh Truc (born in 1986, residing in Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district). The seized evidence included 2 kg of crystal meth, 1 heroin cake and 2,000 synthetic drug pills.
On the afternoon of July 31, the leaders of the Provincial Police came to congratulate and commend the 606S Project Team, and at the same time presented awards from the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the Provincial Police for the outstanding achievements of the Project Team.
