Shooting to save two girls being held by robbers

On the afternoon of July 7, the Investigation Police Agency of District 9 Police, Ho Chi Minh City, announced that they were temporarily detaining Duong Thanh Ho (18 years old, residing in District 9) to investigate the act of robbery.

At around 7:20 a.m. on July 7, at room number 3, in a row of boarding houses on Street 102 (Tang Nhon Phu A Ward), Ms. Ngo Thi Ngoc Th. and Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Tr. (both 23 years old, living in Ninh Thuan Province, marketing staff) opened the door of their room to prepare to go to work.

Suddenly, Duong Thanh Ho (temporarily residing in the same boarding house as Th. and Tr.) rushed into the room with a knife, closed the door and restrained the two.

Ho used a towel cut into many pieces, tied the hands and feet and blindfolded both Th. and Tr. then used lemon to stuff into the mouth of the victim's bottle.

After searching Th., Ho took a cell phone and 500,000 VND, locked them both in the bathroom, then climbed upstairs and searched many places looking for property.

At this time, Ms. Tr. still had her cell phone with her, so she texted her boyfriend to come to the rescue. Her boyfriend quickly went to the rented room and called the police.

The ward police force immediately appeared and tried to persuade Ho, but he still did not open the door.

The police were forced to fire warning shots. Ho ran back upstairs, trying to find a way to remove the ceiling to escape.

At the same time, Ms. Tr. also found a way to open the bathroom door to open the door of her rented room.The police raided, controlled and arrested Ho and took him to headquarters.

Ho initially confessed that he worked as a bricklayer for a living. On the night of July 6, Ho went out with a group of friends in Binh Duong and was given a pill by his friends that Ho thought was a synthetic drug.

After bringing the drugs back to the motel to use, Ho could not control himself and committed the above crime.
