Thanh Hang sharedDuring a month of filming, she experienced many emotions such as suffering, happiness... with the character. She assessed that the new role was more difficult than the character Kieu Thi in My Nhan Ke - a 2015 historical action film in which she played the main role. "There were scenes where the actors did not speak, only acted with facial muscles and eyes," she said.

The model observed the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationships of her friends and acquaintances to apply to her role. She affirmed that this was not a character "tailored" for her but a challenge to improve her acting ability.

The film is set in a fictional setting - a land called Dai Dien in the years 1945-1950. Ly Minh Thang confided that he loves old materials so he wanted to make a film project that blends modern and traditional culture. The film is inspired by famous works about feminism such as Maleficent, Once upon a time, Snow White and the Huntsman... Designer Thuy Nguyen made the costumes for the film.
