Coast guard intercepts Ronaldo's yacht.

Spanish coast guard officers suddenly appeared and inspected Ronaldo's yacht in the waters off Formentera.

The incident occurred on July 12th. While Ronaldo and his yacht were returning to shore, the Spanish coast guard appeared and requested a search.

The inspection yielded nothing suspicious. After spending some time examining the yacht, the armed police officers left.

The appearance of the coast guard surprised Ronaldo. This was the first time the famous footballer's yacht had been subjected to a surprise inspection after several trips to Spain.

Ronaldo is on summer vacation after a busy season playing for Real Madrid and the Portuguese national team. Besides his girlfriend Georgina, his mother Dolores and some of CR7's close friends are also on the yacht.

This won't be the first time Ronaldo has had to deal with authorities this summer of 2017. The Portuguese star is facing charges of tax evasion amounting to $16 million and will appear in court on July 31st.
