CR7 and Judge Monica Gomez Ferrer had a completely opposite exchange on the first day of their court appearance.

The Portuguese star began by saying, "If I weren't Cristiano Ronaldo, I wouldn't be sitting here. The court is mistaken."

Judge Gomez Ferrer responded, "You're mistaken. Many anonymous people have sat in the seat you're sitting in. You're under investigation for financial fraud based on evidence provided by the prosecutor, and I have a duty to make a ruling."

Following the judge's response, Ronaldo reiterated his position: "No, no. Everything that's happening is because I am Cristiano Ronaldo."

The above exchange is part of the publicly released testimony from the July 31st interrogation. This was the first day Ronaldo appeared in court on the tax evasion charges.

Ronaldo is accused of evading taxes amounting to approximately $16 million between 2011 and 2014. If convicted, the Real Madrid star could face fines and imprisonment.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation and questioning, Ronaldo's court appearances could take longer.
