China first revealed intercontinental ballistic missile

(Baonghean.vn) - China displayed a variety of new weapons for the first time at the largest military training ground in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region during the parade to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Army on July 30.

The parade involved 12,000 soldiers and 600 pieces of military equipment, including more than 100 fighter planes, of which more than 40% of the weapons were unveiled for the first time.

The parade force is divided into 36 blocks including 1 flag block, 27 ground vehicle blocks and 9 infantry blocks with modern weapons and vehicles such as Type 99A tanks, self-propelled artillery, Type 04 armored personnel carriers, 10A cruise missiles, DF-26 medium-range missiles, improved DF-16 and air defense missiles, 03 long-range rocket artillery... more than 100 aircraft are divided into 1 ceremonial block (arranged into the numbers 1.8 and 90 symbolizing the founding date of August 1 and the 90th anniversary), 1 air assault block and 6 air parade blocks.

Here, China first revealed the DF-31AG intercontinental ballistic missile, with a maximum range of over 10,000km. In addition, there were also the appearances of the DF-16, DF-26 medium-range ballistic missiles, the DF-21D ballistic missiles, which the world media called "the killer of aircraft carriers"; or the HQ-22 air defense missile and the HQ-9B ballistic missile interceptor system; the YJ-12A supersonic cruise missile, and the J-16 and J-10C fighters.

This is the first time China has celebrated the founding anniversary of the army on August 1 with a military parade. Chinese President Xi Jinping, wearing military uniform, drove a jeep along a long line of tanks and missile launchers to greet thousands of soldiers. This is also the first time Xi Jinping has commanded a military parade at a training ground.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tap highlighted the role of Chinese soldiers in the reform process to modernize and build a strong and powerful armed force to protect the country's sovereignty and interests.
