This year, besides favorable factors, winter crop production is forecasted to still face some difficulties such as: complicated and unpredictable weather while irrigation systems in some places have not met the requirements for drainage, unstable product output, underdeveloped post-harvest preservation and processing, which can easily lead to loss of winter crop products...
The conference focused on discussing solutions to improve the efficiency of winter crop production such as: Investing in production towards commodity production, promoting links between farmers and businesses, and accelerating the application of mechanization to reduce production costs and increase product value... From there, this winter crop, the whole province strives to plant over 40,650 hectares of winter crops of all kinds; 3,055 hectares of fish for the third crop, including 24,500 hectares of corn, 1,400 hectares of peanuts, 12,000 hectares of various vegetables and beans, and 2,700 hectares of sweet potatoes.

The direction of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong stated: To successfully produce the winter crop, localities must have orientations and plans to develop advantageous agricultural products of the region linked to the consumption market.
Based on the crop schedule and varieties mentioned in the project and specific conditions to consider, calculate, and have a planting plan close to the actual situation, minimize damage caused by floods and ensure productivity as well as not affect the 2018 spring planting plan, especially pay attention to developing winter corn acreage on double-rice land.
Strengthening links with businesses in production and consumption of winter crop products; promoting investment and expanding consumption markets. The Provincial People's Committee requires districts to establish Steering Committees and enhance responsibility in organizing and directing the 2017 winter crop production, considering this an important political task of the locality.
