PV:Propaganda work in recent times has achieved many results. Could you please give a general assessment of those outstanding results, Comrade Head?

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop:Over the years, the Propaganda work in Nghe An has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation, creating solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus in society, encouraging and motivating cadres, Party members and people to strive to successfully complete the political tasks of the province in all fields. The Propaganda Department at all levels has demonstrated its role in the work of Party building in terms of politics and ideology.

The monitoring and grasping of the ideological situation and public opinion among cadres, party members and people are of interest to the Propaganda Department at all levels. In addition, comprehensively and synchronously deploy the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, in conjunction with the implementation of the Central Resolution 4 (term XII) on strengthening Party building and rectification. Direct the replication of many good models and good practices in studying and following Uncle Ho, creating many emulation movements in localities and units.

Leading and directing the provincial press and publishing agencies to perform well their functions as both the mouthpiece of the provincial Party Committee, the government, and socio-political organizations, and as a forum for the people. The press and publishing agencies have commended new and typical advanced elements in the patriotic emulation movement; fought against corruption, waste, and negativity, protected the legitimate interests of the people; proactively fought against and refuted false and hostile information and viewpoints; contributed to raising people's knowledge and promoting democracy in the area.

Actively advise and implement directives and resolutions in the field of science and education, contributing to improving the quality of activities in the field of science and education. Cultural and artistic activities are increasingly rich, meeting most of the spiritual needs of the people. Pay attention to the work of traditional history education, preserving, fighting to protect and promote the good qualities of the Vietnamese people and the people of Nghe An. The work of researching and compiling the history of the local Party Committee is directed by the Party committees at all levels.

PV:It is known that Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, on the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 5th Conference of the Central Committee, term X, on "Ideological, theoretical and press work in the face of new requirements" is taking preparatory steps to summarize in the coming time. What will the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department do to continue to effectively implement ideological, theoretical and press work in the face of new requirements, comrade?

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop:From the experience of the past 10 years, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department will continue to synchronously and effectively deploy ideological work, political theory education work and press work.

Regarding ideological work, we will strengthen the leadership and direction of the Party committees, the government, the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Effectively implement the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with the implementation of the Central Resolution 4 (term XII) on Party building. Make ideological work a mandatory content in monthly Party cell activities.

Strengthen propaganda, fight against wrong views, protect the correctness of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, protect the great traditional historical values ​​of the nation. Propaganda to raise awareness of identifying wrong views of hostile forces, create "resistance" among cadres, party members and people to prevent "self-evolution", "self-transformation", fight against the fading of political ideology, moral degradation and lifestyle. In particular, cases of baseless statements and statements that violate the Party's principles will be strictly handled. In addition, the work of grasping public opinion will be given more specific attention to advise the Party Committee and the government to issue policies and guidelines to lead, direct and operate closely to the local and unit situation.

Regarding theoretical work, we will focus on improving the quality of political theory education, updating new knowledge, innovating the content and methods of training and fostering political theory at the Provincial Political School and district-level political training centers.

Strictly implement the requirements for political education in vocational schools and general schools according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Strengthen the inspection of political theory education regimes in universities, colleges, professional and vocational secondary schools, and high schools in the whole province. Promote the achieved results and continue to innovate in the direction and management of the press, especially planning the Nghe An press according to the Project on planning the development and management of the national press until 2025 and the provisions of the Press Law 2016.

Innovate the quality of monthly press meetings, strictly handle cases of violation of the Press Law, and deviation from the Party's leadership. Strengthen coordination, inspection and strictly handle violations reported by the press. Closely coordinate with press management agencies to strengthen leadership and direction of press agencies, representative agencies, and resident reporters operating in the area.

PV:The whole country is making efforts to implement the Central Resolution 4 (12th tenure) on Party building; Directive 05 on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Can you tell us what the Nghe An Propaganda Department will do to contribute with the Party Committee to bring this Resolution and Directive into real life?

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop:In the coming time, based on the contents that have been and are being directed for implementation, the Nghe An Propaganda Department will focus on the following 3 basic tasks:

Firstly, develop a specific implementation plan so that cadres, party members and people are clearly aware, including innovating propaganda work, political education, ideology, ethics and lifestyle for cadres and party members in conjunction with reviewing, evaluating and taking measures to solve urgent problems in Party building work at all levels in the spirit of this resolution, creating trust in the Party and people.

Closely combine oral propaganda with propaganda on mass media; combine political and ideological education with moral, personality and lifestyle education, promote the exemplary pioneering role, set an example for party members to follow. Mobilize people to fight against negativity, contribute to building a clean and strong Party and government, and build a cultural life in residential areas. Strengthen the work of grasping the situation and ideological developments of cadres, party members and people; promptly detect signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and signs of self-evolution and self-transformation in cadres and party members to promptly have solutions to correct and handle.

Second, focus on implementing the leading solution in the group of solutions on political and ideological education to implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (12th term). Continue to promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, focus on leading and directing the work of following Uncle Ho's example in a practical and effective manner. Studying must be associated with the effective implementation of the Party's resolutions and policies on Party building, on preventing corruption, waste, negativity of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; promptly reward collectives and individuals with achievements as well as strictly handle violations of regulations on information, press and propaganda.

Third, focus on directing the building of the image of exemplary and prestigious Nghe An Party members, renewing working style and manners close to the people, listening and dialogue with the people; fighting against the disease of achievements and formalities; practicing thrift, fighting against waste, harassment and negativity; resolutely eliminating conservative and stagnant thinking, enhancing the sense of responsibility, "saying goes with doing", promptly and effectively resolving urgent and outstanding issues of localities, agencies and units. Renewing thinking, being truly receptive, promoting internal resources, taking advantage of external resources, encouraging the entire Party and people to strive to compete to successfully carry out the task of building a strong, prosperous and sustainable homeland and country.
