Ready to smash all plots and tricks of the enemy

(Baonghean) -From August 9 to 11, Nghe An province organized a defense zone exercise (KVPT). This is a one-sided, two-level exercise with a live-fire component directly commanded and directed by the Military Region to continue effectively implementing Resolution 28 (Session X) of the Politburo and Government Decrees on building and operating KVPT.

With the spirit of unity and solidarity, the exercise was a great success, affirming great strength and readiness to smash all plots and sabotage actions of hostile and reactionary forces.

Close relationship between army and people

During the days of the exercise, throughout all regions of Nghe An, it was not difficult to feel the spirit of the army and people here. Since the announcement that the ward militia force would participate in the hypothetical situation, taking on the responsibility of "fighting" with the enemy air force to protect Vinh city, Mr. Luong Dinh Hieu, in block 3, Trung Do ward, Vinh city - the former squad leader of the anti-aircraft artillery squad of the 280th Air Defense Regiment stationed on Dung Quyet mountain in the past, has been on the battlefield every day, imparting experience and guiding the militia in training.

Mr. Hieu said: “53 years ago, on August 5, 1964, when American planes bombed the Vinh - Ben Thuy area, along with evacuating to avoid enemy fire, the Vinh army and people contributed human and material resources, ready to sacrifice everything to firmly protect the city's sky.

Today, living in peace, every citizen of the city is very aware that to defeat the invading enemy, we must constantly raise our vigilance; join forces, be united, be ready to fight and win right from the first battle. Therefore, the people of Trung Do ward are all active and excited to mobilize resources, encourage the militia to create a solid air defense position, destroy the "sky bandits", and firmly protect the sky of our homeland.

The spirit of solidarity, attachment, and joining forces for the common cause spread strongly throughout the countryside where soldiers returned to their villages to "fight". In Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town, participating units such as Division 324, Armored Brigade 206, Air Defense Brigade 283... were present a month in advance to train their troops. Unit leaders and commanders shared that the strength, care, and concern of the local people had become the driving force that helped soldiers "overcome the sun and rain" to complete their missions.

The people of Hoang Mai town supported the troops with 1.1 tons of fish, 21 liters of fish sauce, and nearly 3,000 liters of soft drinks. During breaks or after each training session, officers and soldiers were "quenched" with glasses of iced lemonade, cartons of milk, and bowls of green tea "supplied" by the Women's Union of the commune. The people always created all conditions, reserved the best places in their houses for the soldiers to rest and live; were willing to lend land to the unit to build a training ground, and everyone considered the officers and soldiers as their own children.

Along with that, the good deeds of the army units towards the locality where they are stationed also help to strengthen the relationship between the army and the people. Ms. Le Thi Hua - President of the Women's Union of Quynh Lap commune said that during the days when the army trained and performed tasks in the commune, officers and soldiers took advantage of their time to help people clean the village roads and alleys, clean the beach, examine patients, and provide free medicine...

In particular, officers and soldiers gave up each pill of medicine to examine and treat people. In the commune, there was Mrs. Hoang Thi Diep, 70 years old, in Tan Long hamlet who suffered from food poisoning; Nguyen Phuc Luan in Dong Luc hamlet who suffered from diarrhea; Ms. Truong Thi Hong in Lam Son hamlet who had a traffic accident... were treated by the medical staff of Division 324.

Tight plan, overwhelming momentum

With the great consensus, support and assistance of the people, and the participation of the political system, each content of the KVPT strength exercise has been carefully invested, meticulously prepared, carefully organized and conducted in the correct order, rhythmically and in coordination, ensuring correct and sufficient content and tactical principles. The mechanism of "Party leadership, government management and operation, military agencies, police, border guards and departments, branches and organizations as staff and implementation" is operated flexibly, smoothly and smoothly.

Under the chairmanship of the Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh and the Standing Committee members of the Provincial Party Committee, the extraordinary meetings of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee... took place urgently, seriously and with quality. The opinions of the participating members focused on thoroughly grasping, assessing and correctly assessing the situation of the enemy and us; at the same time, proposing many policies and measures for leadership and direction that were correct, creative, timely, and close to the requirements and tasks in the "war" conditions.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Ky - Director of Nghe An Department of Transport affirmed: "This KVPT exercise is an opportunity for departments, branches and sectors to raise awareness and responsibility for cadres of Party civil agencies; at the same time, through that, the Department can prepare well plans to be ready for "purchase, confiscation, requisition", mobilize human and material resources, meet immediate and long-term requirements when situations arise".

In particular, during the combat practice, with major "battles", the forces participating in the exercise coordinated in combat, promoted the effectiveness of weapons, equipment, and vehicles, creating momentum and strength to suppress the enemy. In particular, with a strong force and modern vehicles, Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, the Provincial Military Command, and departments, branches, and organizations to practice handling situations of concentrated protests, disturbances of security and order, riots, and arresting terrorists, rescuing hostages, clearing bombs and mines, fighting fires, rescuing victims, etc. in accordance with principles, ensuring absolute safety, creating trust for the masses; at the same time deterring and preventing opposing elements...

Battalion 3, Regiment 1, Division 324 was reinforced with weapons and techniques, coordinated with the 206th Armored Brigade, the 414th Engineer Brigade and the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces to practice fighting the enemy landing by sea (with live ammunition) and demonstrated the correct intentions, principles, good technical and tactical movements; fought to destroy all targets, ensuring absolute safety; Combat Group No. 2, Hung Nguyen District organized and practiced fighting the enemy returning by river in the correct order, content, suitable to the situation and capabilities; used and promoted well the features and effectiveness of many types of homemade weapons.

The Nghe An Provincial Military Training Exercise was carried out in accordance with the plan of the Steering Committee and achieved the set goals and requirements, completed the task well, ensured absolute safety, achieved good technical results, and was quite good at combat shooting. This is an opportunity to comprehensively "test" the training and combat readiness of the Provincial Military. Through that, it aims to change the awareness and responsibility of the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level regarding military and defense tasks, and building the Military Training Position.
