Helmut Kohl, German Chancellor from 1982 to 1998, has died at the age of 87.

On July 1, many former heads of state and leaders of countries attended the ceremony to send former German Chancellor Helmut Kohn to his final resting place in the ancient city of Speyer.

Reuters news agency reported that the funeral service for former Chancellor Helmut Kohl took place at the cathedral on the banks of the Rhine River. Attending the funeral service for the former German Chancellor were many high-ranking officials from Germany, the European Commission, the European Parliament, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, former US President Bill Clinton... Before that, a solemn memorial service for former Chancellor Helmut Kohl was held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.

On June 16, Helmut Kohl, German Chancellor from 1982 to 1998, passed away at the age of 87. He was a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) of current Chancellor Angela Merkel. Former Chancellor Helmut Kohl is considered the man who unified Germany and was one of the founders of the European Union and the Eurozone.
