On August 11, Buon Ma Thuot City Police (Dak Lak Province) announced that they had prosecuted and detained a business director to investigate the act of property theft.
According to initial information, on the morning of August 9, Tran Dinh Nam Giao (born in 1976, residing in Tan Thanh ward, Buon Ma Thuot city), Director of Bao Thien Phat Company Limited, specializing in trading excavators and bulldozers, headquartered in Buon Ma Thuot city, drove to a gas station on Dinh Tien Hoang street (Tan Thanh ward, Buon Ma Thuot city) to fill up with gas.
After filling up the gas tank, Giao went to pay and waited for the bill when he discovered an iPhone 7 left on the table by the gas station accountant. Feeling greedy, Giao quickly stole the phone and left in his car.
After discovering the loss of property, the owner of the gas station reported the incident to Buon Ma Thuot City Police to clarify the incident. Through the gas station camera, the investigation agency determined that Tran Dinh Nam Giao was the person who "stole" the phone.
Summoning the subject to the police, Giao initially denied the crime, but when faced with evidence and documents collected by the police, Giao confessed.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by Buon Ma Thuot City Police.
