What Guardiola said to his students on his last day leading Barca

Striker Alexis Sanchez remembers the Spanish coach's final words of advice in 2012.

"He came into the dressing room and told us: 'You have achieved this great result thanks to all the players here'," Sanchez, then a member of Barca, recalled.

Pep Guardiola's last match in charge of Barca was the 2012 Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao. Barca won the match and the Cup. Guardiola went into the club's dressing room after the match and said his final words to his players.

Sanchez admitted that he was greatly influenced by Guardiola when he played for Barca.

"In the room there was Messi, Puyol, Iniesta, Xavi," Sanchez added. "Everyone, if someone doesn't do their job well, Barca can't play well. I still remember that experience."

The Chilean striker is rumoured to be leaving Arsenal this summer to reunite with Guardiola at Man City. Sanchez still remembers the Spaniard's kindness, claiming that his former coach's words helped his future career.

"I learned that I shouldn't play selfishly. I'm more mature and understand that connecting with teammates is important. If I want to win an individual title, I can't forget the support from my teammates," Sanchez said.

Sanchez's Chile will face Germany in this year's Confederations Cup final. The South American champions beat Portugal on penalties in the semi-finals. Sanchez will be hoping to repeat his team's triumph, having beaten Argentina in last year's Copa America final.

"In terms of the balance of power, the individual Chilean players may not be as good as the Argentine players. But we are a better team," the Arsenal striker said. "The same goes for Portugal. Every position in the squad does their job well, helping us achieve success."

The final match between Germany and Chile takes place at 1:00 a.m. on July 3, Hanoi time.
