SLNA in the same group with SHB Da Nang at the National U13 Finals

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of July 6, at SLNA Club, the draw and schedule ceremony for the 2017 National Youth Football Tournament took place.

The 2017 National Youth Football Championship Finals were held from July 7-16, 2017 at Vinh City Stadium, Nghe An with the participation of 12 teams, of which U13 SLNA was the host team.

Accordingly, the home team SLNA is in Group A with SHB Da Nang, Phu Nhuan HCM and Binh Phuoc. Group B includes: Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Binh Dinh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong and Group C: Viettel, Hanoi, Binh Duong, FLC Thanh Hoa.

In the opening match, coach Nguyen Huy Hoang and his team will meet SHB Da Nang in a match taking place at 4:00 p.m. on July 7. In the second match, U13 SLNA will meet Binh Phuoc at 5:00 p.m. on July 9 before facing Phu Nhuan HCM in the final match taking place at 5:00 p.m. on July 11.

The quarter-finals will take place on July 13, the semi-finals on July 14 and the final on July 16. The opening and final matches will be broadcast live on VTV6 channel of Vietnam Television.

Coach Nguyen Huy Hoang said: “I appreciate the training spirit of the players. In the past two years, U13 SLNA also reached the final match, that is also the goal for the U13 SLNA coaching board. That is the immediate goal and when reaching the final match, the whole team must be determined to win the championship. Having reached the final round, every team is highly appreciated and we will try our best in each match...”.

In this tournament, U13 SLNA holds the record for the number of championships in 1997; 1998; 2003; 2013 and 2014. In the 2016 season, U13 SLNA only lost to Viettel in the final match after a series of unfortunate penalties.
