FLC Nghe An complex with total capital of more than 12,000 billion VND will have its boundaries adjusted.

(Baonghean.vn) - At the working session between Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and FLC Group, the two sides preliminarily agreed to adjust the project boundary according to the most optimal plan.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation signed between FLC Group and Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on February 19, 2017,FLC Group Joint Stock Company researched and surveyed to invest in the FLC Nghe An Ecological Resort and Entertainment Complex project in the Tien Phong, Hai Don and Lu beaches in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district.

The investment objective of the project is to build a coastal resort and entertainment complex to create a highlight in landscape architecture and tourism services for Nghi Loc district in particular and Nghe An province in general. From here, a high-class eco-tourism complex of international standards will be formed, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

At the meeting, Deputy General Director of FLC Group Dang Tat Thang presented the investment idea of ​​FLC Nghe An complex including: site clearance plan, planning idea, land use structure plan, landscape planning, investment idea.

Accordingly, the scale of the Project includes the following items: 5-star hotel; 5-star beach resort; luxury villas; 1,500-seat international conference center; 18-hole golf course; international-class entertainment area; interactive zoo, commercial and entertainment urban area; auxiliary infrastructure traffic items...

The surveyed and planned area is about 600 hectares, the total project investment is adjusted compared to before, estimated at more than 12,000 billion VND (not including site clearance costs).

“After implementing legal procedures: Adjusting the zoning plan of the Southeast economic zone; Issuing the investment registration certificate for the FLC Nghe An complex project... it is expected that compensation will be implemented in the first quarter of 2018; and after the site clearance is completed in the fourth quarter of 2018, after 2 years, the Group will complete construction and put the project into operation” - Deputy General Director of FLC Group said.

After listening to FLC Group present the planning plan, representatives of departments and local authorities gave their opinions on issues related to the project such as site clearance, support for people after resettlement; as well as resolving 3 projects that are overlapping with the FLC project planning.

Nghi Tien commune representative said that according to the planning plan, except for hamlet 4 located along D4 road, which will not be relocated, most of the hamlets will have to be resettled. Therefore, the province and district need to pay attention to the traditional agricultural production and processing industries of the people; create conditions for fishermen to have access to the sea, anchor boats, and support people to have jobs after resettlement...

In particular, at the meeting, representatives of departments and branches discussed the plan to adjust according to the new boundary, especially the functional areas of Hai Don beach area on the basis of facilitating site clearance work, minimizing migration, and stabilizing people's lives. If adjusted in the direction of preserving this area and taking it to the new area, the impact on households will be reduced to about 500 households (instead of about 1,000 households as in the original plan) but still ensuring the overall project.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien emphasized that this is a major, key project of the province, which, when put into operation, will be a big boost for the tourism industry and socio-economic development of the province and the region. He also highly appreciated the participation of FLC Group as well as departments and branches in approaching and implementing the project.

The most difficult task of the project at present is the site clearance work involving nearly 1,000 households. With the goal of minimizing resettlement, site clearance costs, and stabilizing people's lives as best as possible after resettlement... it is necessary to re-examine the planning scheme, especially the Hai Don beach area. FLC Group will soon build functional areas and complete the plan to proceed with the next investment steps.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that all levels, sectors and localities continue to create the most favorable conditions for investors to survey, plan and carry out legal procedures to implement the project./.
