Officials under the management of the Politburo and Secretariat absolutely must not allow relatives or acquaintances to take advantage of their positions and powers for personal gain.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has just signed and promulgated the Politburo's regulations on title standards and criteria for evaluating officials under the management of the Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat.

This is the first time the Politburo has specific regulations on title standards and evaluation criteria for senior Party and State officials.

According to regulations, these must be cadres who are absolutely loyal to the interests of the Party, the nation, the people and the people, steadfast in Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the ideal goal of national independence and socialism. Put the interests of the Party, the nation and the people above the interests of the industry, locality, agency and individual. Absolutely comply with the organization's assignment, maintain discipline in speaking, be exemplary in moral qualities, live honestly, modestly, sincerely, purely, simply, tolerantly, thriftily, uprightly, impartially.

In particular, the Politburo stipulates that cadres under the management of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat must be absolutely free from ambition for power, have enthusiasm and high responsibility for their work, be the center of solidarity, be exemplary in all aspects, not corrupt, opportunistic, or self-interested, and resolutely fight to prevent and repel degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of self-evolution and self-transformation within the organization. Resolutely direct the fight against bureaucracy, corruption, negativity, waste, power abuse, and group interests. Absolutely do not let relatives and acquaintances take advantage of their positions and powers for personal gain.

In addition to the general regulations, the Politburo also stipulates specific standards for each position: Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Politburo, Secretariat, General Secretary, President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Assembly, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Chairman of the National Council, Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees, Secretary General of the National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Office.

The Politburo's regulations also stipulate specific standards for the positions of Minister and equivalent, heads of central political and social organizations, Secretaries of Provincial Party Committees, Central City Party Committees, Chairmen of People's Councils and People's Committees of provinces and cities.

The Politburo also stipulates a group of general criteria and a group of specific criteria to evaluate management officials under the management of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.

Along with the above regulations, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also signed and issued the Politburo's regulations on the framework of title standards and orientation of the criteria framework for evaluating leaders and managers at all levels./.
