100% of Nghe An boats have returned to safe storm shelters

On the afternoon of July 16, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation inspected Cua Lo port. According to a quick report, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention of Cua Lo town has mobilized all forces and means to respond when the storm arrives. Before that, the town had issued an order calling all ships to safe shelters.
Up to now, a total of nearly 300 fishing boats of the town's fishermen have entered Cua Lo Port to safely take shelter from the storm. Cua Lo Port has also received about 20 boats of fishermen from Thanh Hoa and Quang Ngai provinces to safely take shelter from the storm.
The town's flood and storm prevention command also directed localities and units to inspect vulnerable locations to promptly develop response plans.

In particular, in the beach area, the town's lifeguards must be on duty regularly to prevent tourists from swimming to ensure safety.
The town has also asked units and individuals providing services along the beach to move assets to safe places and carefully secure kiosks to cope with the storm.

Also this afternoon, comrade Dinh Viet Hong inspected the response work for storm No. 2 at Nghi Quang sluice, Nghi Loc.
The representative of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: Nghi Quang sluice system, preventing salinity and keeping fresh water for the Nam - Hung - Nghi area, due to the sluice being degraded, the managing unit has proactively used a generator to operate the sluice system when there is a power failure. Operate appropriately to keep fresh water for irrigation in the summer and autumn.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the efforts of the Flood and Storm Prevention Command of Cua Lo and Nghi Loc towns. At the same time, he noted that storm No. 2 passing through Nghe An has a wide area of influence, with complex and dangerous developments. Therefore, local authorities and people must absolutely not be subjective.
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong added: As of 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, 4,000 large and small boats (100%) of Nghe An have found safe shelter from the storm./.
