A recent investigation by the Belgian television channel 8 sur 6 revealed that French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife have maintained the habit of eating Vietnamese food every Wednesday for many years.

President Macron's passion for Vietnamese cuisine began during a trip to Vietnam in 1998 while he was a student. The French president particularly enjoys shrimp spring rolls, while his wife, Brigitte Macron, frequently orders fried spring rolls (nem rán).

As usual, every Wednesday evening the French President and his wife are at the Vietnamese fast-food restaurant Tran Lo at 7:30 PM. The meal begins 30 minutes later, providing a peaceful time for them to chat and watch the evening news on France 2.

French media suggest that, in addition to their delicious flavors, Vietnamese cuisine is also known worldwide for its cleanliness and healthiness. This may be why Mr. Macron frequently chooses them to maintain his health and physique.
