BMW Motorrad has officially recalled the BMW R1200GS and GS Adventure due to a front suspension defect.

The reason for this recall is believed to be that the fork head cover may break after a minor impact. In some cases, this could lead to tragic accidents for users. All affected models will be fitted with an additional fork sleeve. If any signs of safety issues have been observed, the parts will be replaced with new ones.

The safety recall is carried out free of charge for customers at authorized BMW Motorrad service centers.

This recall affects approximately 185,000 units distributed worldwide by the German automaker. In Vietnam, the BMW R1200GS Adventure has been officially distributed by Euro Auto since 2015 at a price of 759 million VND.
