Yamaha replaces rear shock absorbers for NVX for free

Yamaha Vietnam's website announced free rear shock absorber replacement for NVX 125 and 155 models that have been sold on the market.

The free rear shock absorber replacement is applied by Yamaha Vietnam to standard NVX 155 models manufactured from November 15, 2016 to April 26, 2017, NVX 155 special models manufactured from November 15, 2016 to June 8, 2017, and NVX 125 models manufactured from February 24, 2017 to June 8, 2017. Information about this program was posted on the company's website from June 19.

Yamaha NVX models are eligible for rear shock absorber replacement.

In the announcement, Yamaha Vietnam did not give a reason for this campaign. Speaking to Zing.vn, a media representative of Yamaha Vietnam confirmed that the rear shock absorbers of the NVX currently on the market are not defective. The new shock absorbers were replaced to increase the balance at the rear of the vehicle.

The representative of Yamaha Vietnam also added that the rear shock absorber replacement is completely free and not mandatory, users can go to Yamaha dealers to replace it if necessary. The rear shock absorber upgrade program for NVX is expected to take place in about 6 months.

Previously, at the end of March, Yamaha Vietnam issued a statement confirming that the rear shock absorbers of NVX models sold on the market were completely normal and met safety and technical requirements. The company also said it did not encourage users to arbitrarily replace the rear shock absorbers of their vehicles with products from other manufacturers.

Yamaha NVX scooter line has been sold in Vietnam since late 2016. This is considered a replacement product for the discontinued Nouvo. The vehicle has 155cc and 125cc versions.
