Beat Barca 3-1 at Nou Camp, Real touches Super Cup
Real won away from home in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.
Goals: Messi 77' penalty - Pique 50' own goal, Ronaldo 80', Asensio 90'
Gerard Pique was the most error-prone defender for Barca in the first leg. The home team's number 3 not only turned away Marcelo's cross in the 50th minute but also allowed Ronaldo to dribble past him and shoot from in front of him to make it 2-1 in the 80th minute.
Between Real's two leads, Barca equalized 1-1 in the 77th minute. Messi was the one who successfully executed a precise shot from the penalty spot, after Luis Suarez was tripped by goalkeeper Keylor Navas in the penalty area.

After making it 2-1, Ronaldo received two yellow cards in just four minutes. The first was for taking off his shirt to celebrate, and the second for a fall in the Barca penalty area. The referee judged that Ronaldo had faked a fall and decided to penalize him.
Playing with one less man in the final minutes, Real not only did not concede an equalizer but also scored the winning goal 3-1. Young striker Marco Asensio had a shot from the edge of Barca's penalty area that goalkeeper Ter Stegen could not block.

After the exciting developments in the second half, the first leg of the Super Cup started in a balanced manner. Both teams had shots on goal but did not cause too much trouble.
Playing as a left winger in place of Neymar, Gerard Deulofeu did not make much of an impression on the audience. The 23-year-old striker moved well but often had problems in the final phase. The most outstanding situation that Deulofeu created before having to leave the field in the 59th minute was a cross for Messi. The Argentine star could not touch the ball and the Real defender cleared it.

While Ronaldo sat on the bench for the entire first half, Real played not too far behind Barca. Midfielder Isco was the most active player on the pitch, also firing a shot that sent the ball close to the home team's goal. Casemiro also had a signature shot from outside the box but could not get past goalkeeper Ter Stegen.
Coming on in the 58th minute to replace Benzema, Ronaldo did not disappoint coach Zidane. The star wearing the number 7 shirt quickly got into the rhythm of the match and scored to raise the score to 2-1. Ronaldo also had another shot in the Barca net in the 72nd minute but it was disallowed due to an offside error.
In contrast to his good form, the Portuguese star caused quite a surprise with two yellow cards. If his appeal fails, CR7 will have to sit out the return match at Bernabeu on August 16.

Thanks to Asensio's winning goal, Real now have a huge advantage ahead of the second leg. A two-goal difference could be enough for Zidane and his team to play comfortably without Ronaldo.
While Real have the advantage, Barca need a miracle to overcome the difficulties. In addition to the problem in attack that Neymar left after moving to PSG, the Catalan team also needs to fix the defense, with Pique's position being the weakest point.
