Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son: Tourism must make people fascinated and interested.

(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said: 'The nature of tourism is to do culture, how to make people love and like it. That is very difficult, requiring creativity, responsibility, and dedication from those working in tourism, in which the pivotal role is the Department of Tourism'.

Talking with officials of the Department of Tourism, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the contributions of the Nghe An Department of Tourism.

Although the decision to establish the Department was only made 6 months ago, the Department has actively advised and issued many directive documents to strengthen State management of tourism activities in the province; and has been evaluated by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism as one of the 10 provinces and cities in the country that do well in tourism management.

Raising a number of issues related to planning, infrastructure serving tourism, promotion work and human resources for tourism, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that these are challenging and difficult issues for Nghe An's tourism industry.

In particular, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 08/NQ-TW on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector; and the province's orientation is to make tourism an important economic sector.

These are the issues that require the Department of Tourism to continue to build a strong solidarity and collaboration bloc, gather intelligence, actively advise on many policies as well as strengthen State management, and promote tourism development in the province in the coming time.

The Department of Tourism also needs to focus on expanding cooperation and coordination with the Central Government, key tourism provinces and cities as well as all levels and sectors in the province; taking care of personnel work and building tourism industry resources.

Thanking the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee for their attention to the province's tourism industry, Director of Nghe An Department of Tourism Nguyen Manh Cuong promised the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee that the unit will promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and high responsibility to contribute with the province to develop Nghe An tourism industry more strongly in the coming time.
