Security guard arrested for molesting 15 year old girl in restroom

On July 16, the Investigation Police Department of Long Bien District Police (Hanoi) urgently arrested Nguyen Van Tuan (44 years old, security guard at a playground in a shopping mall in Long Bien District) to investigate the act of Child Molestation.

Through investigation, Long Bien District Police determined that on the afternoon of July 15, a young girl named Trang (15 years old, local resident) went to a shopping mall to watch a music show. Afterwards, Trang went to the children's play area on the 3rd floor of the shopping mall.

Seeing the girl standing alone, Tuan got to know her and then took Trang to play in the ball house. At the slide, the male security guard molested the 15-year-old girl.

When the victim went into the restroom, Tuan followed and continued to sexually abuse the girl.

When she got home, Trang told her family about the incident. Some people then subdued Tuan and handed him over to the police.

The image of the suspect with his hands tied was recorded by some people present at the shopping mall and posted on social media.

Just a few hours after the clip of people tying up the hands of a suspect molesting a little girl went viral online, a representative of the shopping mall where the incident occurred confirmed that Tuan was an employee working for a business that rented space in the shopping mall.

"This person is not a security guard of the shopping mall, nor does he work for the building as reported on social media," said a representative of the shopping mall.
