Arrested Nguyen Trung Truc for activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government

On August 4, the Investigation Security Agency of Quang Binh Provincial Police executed an arrest warrant for Nguyen Trung Truc (43 years old) for the act of "Activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 79 - Penal Code of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On August 4, the Investigation Security Agency of Quang Binh Provincial Police executed an arrest warrant for temporary detention and a search warrant for the residence of Nguyen Trung Truc (43 years old), registered permanent residence and current residence: Thanh Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province for the act of "Activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 79 - Penal Code of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Initial investigation results determined: Nguyen Trung Truc is one of the leaders of the Association of Democratic Brothers (abbreviated as AEDC) and holds a key role (Head of the Executive Board of the AEDC Central Region Branch; Head of the AEDC Training Board; Spokesperson of the AEDC) and has carried out activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government.

Based on documents and evidence collected during the investigation, on August 3, the Investigation Security Agency of Quang Binh Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, a decision to prosecute the accused, an order to arrest the accused for temporary detention and a search warrant for Nguyen Trung Truc's residence.

The execution of the above decisions and orders against Nguyen Trung Truc ensures proper procedures and regulations of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Currently, the Security Investigation Agency of Quang Binh Provincial Police is continuing to investigate.
