The subject recklessly stabbed a riot police officer on duty.

The Investigation Police Agency, Ba Dinh District Police, Hanoi has just arrested the subject who stabbed a mobile police officer seriously, and at the same time initiated a case and prosecuted the suspect for theft of property and intentional injury.

Previously, on July 18, Corporal Pham Duy Ninh, a soldier of the Mobile Police Regiment assigned to Task Force No. 15/142, was in disguise patrolling the bus stop area at the side gate of Thu Le Park (Ngoc Khanh, Ba Dinh) when he discovered a subject stealing property from a female passenger waiting for the bus, so he rushed in to arrest her.

When being controlled by Corporal Ninh, this subject suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed comrade Ninh repeatedly in the ribs and thighs before escaping.

After conducting an investigation, on July 19, the authorities arrested Vu Van Giap (born in 1986), residing in Thuy Phong commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province, and seized the crime scene evidence including a knife, a cell phone, and related evidence.

The case is under investigation and clarification.
