According to information obtained by Malaysian authorities, IS has called on elements with ties to this organization in Malaysia to kill Mr. Ayob, who is considered by IS to be the main threat to this terrorist group in Southeast Asia.
Mr Ayob said he was aware of the threat. He admitted that he had received similar threats over the years, but this was the first time Indonesian elements had called for his death.
However, the head of Malaysia's anti-terrorism force affirmed that Malaysian police will still devote themselves to the task of ensuring safety and security for the people and the country./.
