Nghe An still has 2 dengue fever outbreaks

(Baonghean.vn) - As of August 25,Nghe An has had 239 people infected with dengue fever. There are still two outbreaks that have not ended in Dien Ngoc commune (Dien Chau) and Nghi Quang (Nghi Loc).

As of August 25, Nghe An had 239 cases of dengue fever (no deaths) in 72 wards, communes and towns in 14 districts, cities and towns.

The whole province has 3 dengue fever outbreaks, including: Dien Thinh commune (Dien Chau) with 19 cases now cured; Dien Ngoc commune (Dien Chau) with 88 cases (87 cases cured, 1 patient is being treated in the hospital, in the past 10 days there was 1 new patient); Nghi Quang commune (Nghi Loc district) with 9 cases (6 cases have recovered, 3 patients are being treated in the hospital, in the past 2 days there were no new patients).

Thus, in addition to the outbreak in Dien Thinh commune which has been completely controlled, Nghe An still has two outbreaks that have not ended (Dien Ngoc and Nghi Quang). In addition, the number of imported fever patients is still increasing. The risk of dengue fever outbreak in the province is still very high.

In order to prevent and control the epidemic, the health sector of Nghe An and other localities is still focusing on monitoring and admitting new patients for treatment and sources of infection; cleaning and collecting waste, destroying mosquito larvae in the community; strengthening communication, training and guiding epidemic handling, and reporting the epidemic daily to higher levels./.
