(Baonghean.vn) - The road from National Highway 1A to the construction stone quarry area of Len Chua in Quynh Xuan ward, Hoang Mai town, is about 500 meters long, and hundreds of trucks enter and exit every day, causing residents to suffer from the thick dust.

Ms. H., who runs a grocery store next to the dirt road leading to the construction stone quarry in Len Chua, operated by Thanh Xuan Co., Ltd. and Xuan Hung Co., Ltd., expressed her frustration: "Although the companies spray water, they only do it twice a day, in the early morning and late evening. The amount of water sprayed is insufficient, and the road surface dries up again after a short time. On hot days, trucks transporting construction stone cause thick clouds of dust to fly into people's houses."

Due to excessive dust, residents have repeatedly used trees and sticks to block the road, preventing vehicles from entering and exiting. The commune has had to intervene to allow the businesses to resume operations. According to the locals, the construction stone quarrying companies need to organize more frequent spraying throughout the day with a heavier volume of water to reduce the dust.

Mr. Vu Van Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, said: Currently, construction stone quarrying companies in the Chua Hill area are not properly implementing blasting procedures, causing noise pollution. In addition, dust pollution is also occurring in the stone processing area and on the transportation routes. Although the commune has established an inspection team, when inspected, the companies spray excessive amounts of dust, causing residents to suffer from road dust.
