Nissan's brand Datsun has just "launched" the all-new 2017 Redi-Go small car in the Indian market at a super cheap price.
The sub-brand of the famous car brand Nissan - Datsun, has recently launched the super cheap car model Datsun Redi-GO 1.0L 2017 in India. Nissan Datsun Redi-Go is positioned as an "urban crossover" model, although in reality the car is more like a 5-door hatchback. This is the 4th time Datsun's cheap car model has been launched in the Indian market. |
The basic dimensions of this Datsun compact car include an overall length of 3,429 mm, width of 1,560 mm, height of 1,541 mm and a wheelbase of 2,348 mm. In addition, it has a ground clearance of 185 mm, a turning radius of 4.7 m and a luggage compartment volume of 222 liters. |
Redi-Go is the mass-produced version of the concept car of the same name that Datsun launched in early 2014 and caused a stir. Compared to the version launched last year, the car has a similar design, except for some details that have been changed to help this small car become more complete. |
Based on the Renault-Nissan Common Module Family (CMF-A) chassis platform, the Redi-Go shares the same chassis with the Renault Kwid, but is shorter, only 3430 mm instead of 3679 mm. The car's ground clearance is 185 mm. On this new version, the car has been upgraded with LED daytime running lights. |
Standing out with its modern and unique appearance, applying a new design language for a variety of users, "Datsun Redi-GO will reflect the personality of the buyer, who is confident, knows who he is and what he wants in life". Mr. Vincent Cobee, global president of Datsun, spoke at the launch ceremony of the new version of this model. |
The car has a 5-seat black interior with silver accents on some details. Because of its low price, the Redi-Go's interior is also designed simply and cheaply, mainly made of hard plastic materials. The car has a 3-spoke steering wheel, fabric seats, round air-conditioning vents and electric windows. |
Like the previous version, the seats of this cheap small car are only covered with felt and fabric, instead of imitation leather or real leather. Each seat can only be adjusted manually. However, thanks to a longer wheelbase than the Renault Kwid, the Redi-Go has a fairly comfortable interior space for both the driver and the rear passengers. |
The average fuel consumption of this super cheap car is also quite impressive, about 22.5 km/liter, equivalent to 4.4 liters/100 km (according to the manufacturer's announcement). More powerful than the 0.8 version of this model that was launched exactly 1 year ago. With this powertrain, Datsun affirms that the car will have the lowest fuel consumption in the segment. |
The 2017 Redi-Go 1.0L is being sold at the dealerships of Datsun's parent company, Nissan, in India. The car's price is considered super cheap, ranging from only 357,000 - 372,238 Rupees (equivalent to 126.5 - 132 million VND), more expensive than the old 0.8 version, which costs from 238,900 Rupees (equivalent to only 84.6 million VND). This car model is considered suitable for large cities, unfortunately it is not imported or distributed to Vietnam. |
