The new sport version of the Toyota Vios isn't just a simple body kit; it's influenced by the style of real racing cars.

Toyota has introduced the Sports Edition of the 2017 Vios to the Malaysian market, priced at RM 85,300, equivalent to VND 452 million. The 2017 Toyota Vios Sports Edition's design is inspired by the racing cars from the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Challenge held in Malaysia in August.

The car is developed based on the standard 1.5J trim level in the Malaysian market. However, it boasts a sportier and more aggressive exterior with a body kit including: front and rear bumpers and side skirts, a large rear spoiler, and 15-inch multi-spoke matte black alloy wheels. It also features red and black racing-style decals with a "Sports Edition" logo on the rear.

The interior features new details such as leather-upholstered sports seats with red stitching, unique floor mats, a separate gear shifter, and illuminated cup holders. Additionally, there's a new footwell lighting system.

The car also comes standard with halogen headlights, LED daytime running lights, smart key, push-button start, radio, CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, and four speakers. Additionally, it features two airbags, a vehicle stability control system, and a sport suspension that lowers ground clearance by 27mm.

The 2017 Vios Sports Edition features a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine with Dual VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing). The engine produces a maximum power of 107 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It uses a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive.

The 2017 Toyota Vios Sports Edition will be available at Toyota dealerships in Malaysia by the end of July. Toyota Malaysia has already begun accepting customer orders for the 2017 Vios Sports Edition.
