Happy meeting with Nghe An compatriots in Taiwan

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 16, in Phong Nguyen (Taichung - Taiwan), Nghe An Association solemnly held the 12th annual meeting with the participation of nearly 100 members.

The Nghe An Association in Taiwan was established 5 years ago. Up to now, the Association has gathered hundreds of members who are children of Nghe An people working, living and studying throughout Taiwan.

Over the past 5 years, the Nghe An Association has been a meeting place for Nghe An children living far from home, becoming a center of solidarity, playing the role of organizing meetings, exchanges, football tournaments, Tet activities, charity programs... Every year, the Association has raised hundreds of millions of VND to help members, families with children who have had accidents or died in Taiwan, rural areas affected by natural disasters and floods, and poor lives in their homeland.

At the meeting, the members unanimously agreed to merge the Nghe An people's groups that had been operating separately into a common organization, the Nghe An Association. Next, the Association will consolidate the organization and elect qualified and dedicated people to the Executive Committee to manage the Association's activities.

Although the number of members is constantly fluctuating and its activities are still limited, the Nghe An Association in Taiwan has been a bridge for thousands of Nghe An children living far from home, uniting and helping each other in studying, working, and promoting the traditions of their homeland./.
