The Tan Thang Cement Project has proactively embraced the "Industry 4.0 Revolution" trend by purchasing advanced equipment, allowing for the integration of various technologies and the formation of an optimal management model to produce high-quality cement products at competitive prices and with environmental friendliness. To achieve this goal, from the initial stage, the Project Management Board organized a competitive international tender, selecting five leading global contractors in the field of cement technology and equipment: Bedeschi Spa - Italy, FLSmidth A/S - Denmark, Loesche - Germany, Haver & Boecker - Germany, and ABB - Switzerland, to design and supply a complete production line with advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment, among the best in the world. Notably, this includes: the ROTAX-2™ dry-process rotary kiln system, which boasts the lowest heat consumption rating in the entire Vietnamese cement industry and can utilize a variety of coal types; The raw material grinding, coal grinding, and cement grinding systems are all state-of-the-art grinding machines supplied by FLSmidth - Denmark and Loesche - Germany; the modern, highly accurate automatic bagging system, capable of loading bagged cement for both covered and uncovered trucks, is supplied by Haver & Boecker - Germany.
In particular, the Tan Thang cement project has focused on investing in a high-level automated electrical system – the core of Industry 4.0 technology – with centralized control to synchronously manage the plant's operations, connecting electronic, mechanical, and environmental technologies. This system is supplied by ABB – Switzerland; electricity consumption is approximately 85 kW/ton of cement, and heat consumption is below 720 kcal/kg of clinker, these are the lowest consumption indicators in the entire cement industry today; all plant equipment is guaranteed to be 100% new and manufactured from 2016 onwards. A key advantage in production is that generated dust is completely treated by modern bag filters, ensuring that the dust concentration at the outlet is always less than 30 mg/Nm3, and in the cement grinding area less than 20 mg/Nm3. This indicator fully complies with, and even exceeds, current state regulations. This explains why, even when the factory operates at high intensity, the environment remains completely green, clean, and safe.
With Tan Thang Cement, the latest technology allows for the production of both conventional and special clinker, resulting in a range of cement products from PCB40, PC50... to special types such as low-heat cement, fast-setting cement, salt-resistant cement... according to market demand. The distribution of cement products is also very diverse, from standard 50 kg bags to jumbo bags weighing from 500 to 2,000 kg, and various packaging options to serve both domestic and export needs. Tan Thang Cement's supply is facilitated by its modern, highly accurate automatic bagging system, supplying multi-purpose bagged cement from Haver & Boecker - Germany.

The Tan Thang cement project's major advantage lies in its very low investment cost, at only 2.09 million VND/ton, equivalent to 92.57 USD/ton of cement (total investment of 4,086 billion VND for a production line with a capacity of 2 million tons of cement per year). Explaining this efficient investment, some cement industry experts believe that the key is the project's thorough research and analysis of the current state of the Vietnamese and regional cement industry to develop appropriate investment solutions. For example, the project utilizes state-of-the-art technology and production lines, while other investment segments leverage Vietnam's existing advantages, capabilities, and creativity. Domestic construction units are employed under the supervision of EU and G7 experts, thereby reducing investment costs, ensuring source technology and quality, and facilitating maintenance and upkeep during subsequent operation.

The Tan Thang Cement Project will be completed and operational in 2019, annually supplying 2 million tons of high-quality cement to meet market demand. Besides its financial benefits, its operation will create jobs for over 500 direct employees and thousands of indirect workers in the locality. It will contribute approximately 221 billion VND annually to the state budget, attracting investment and development in supporting industries, contributing to the transformation of Nghe An province's economic structure towards industrialization and modernization, and increasing the proportion of industry and services in the locality.
