Voters recommend supporting localities in building brands for clean agricultural products

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in some districts proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to pay attention to supporting localities with large agricultural production areas to have conditions to accumulate land; create brands, build clean agricultural products; and form joint ventures and partnerships with foreign countries to promote agricultural development.

The Provincial People's Committee responded to this issue as follows:

Currently, Nghe An has 456,755 households producing agriculture, forestry and fishery; with the main method of household production. This is really a big obstacle in developing a large, modern commodity production in the integration trend, so encouraging land accumulation to develop large-scale production in agriculture is an inevitable requirement.

In addition, the agricultural sector clearly identifies that linking production according to product value chains is an inevitable development trend in the coming period, with the affirmation of the leading role of enterprises in the chain. Through the chain to accumulate land for large-scale commodity production; quickly apply new scientific and technological advances, mechanization in production to increase productivity, product quality, reduce production costs, and increase the competitiveness of agricultural products.

In recent times, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development have created the best conditions for businesses, households and individuals who have the need to invest in production development to be allocated land, lease agricultural land to produce goods on a farm scale, build large fields...etc. Currently, there are many good and effective models such as: TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company, Vinamilk, Phu Quy High-Tech Company... and over 6,153 farms and farms in the province.

In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will direct the implementation of the following key contents:

- Direct the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and localities to continue to effectively implement Directive No. 08-CT/TU, dated August 5, 2012 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on promoting the mobilization of farmers to "consolidate and exchange plots" and encourage land accumulation to develop large-scale production in agriculture;

- Effectively implement Directive No. 07-CT/TU dated December 6, 2016 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on promoting the restructuring of Nghe An province's agricultural sector towards increasing added value and sustainable development, period 2016-2020;

- Implement support policies of the Central and the province to create motivation for sustainable agricultural production development such as: Policy to encourage cooperation development, production linkage associated with agricultural product consumption, building large fields; Support policy to reduce losses in agriculture; Aquaculture development policy; Breed development program; Support policy to improve the efficiency of household livestock farming in the period 2015-2020; Policy to encourage enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas according to Decree 210/2014/ND-CP; Decision 08/2015/QD-UBND on a number of specific policies to encourage enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas in the period 2015-2020;

- Promote the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances, especially high technology in agricultural production to improve productivity, product quality, and reduce production costs. Strengthen and develop cooperative economy, promote the development of farm economic models, and effectively implement the 2012 Law on Cooperatives;

- Strengthen international integration and cooperation, attract foreign investment resources, international organizations, FDI enterprises to invest in rural agriculture, thereby attracting investment capital, advanced science and technology, creating momentum for agricultural development in particular and the province's socio-economy in general./.
