New establishment interest

In May 2017, Yen Thanh District Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Party Cell of Tay Nghe Yen Thanh Joint Stock Company, under the Dong Thanh Commune Party Committee. Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee: This is a great effort of the district in implementing Project 5155 of the Provincial Party Committee. In addition, with the support of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, who is also a Catholic who loves God and loves the country, the establishment of the Party Cell at Tay Nghe Yen Thanh Joint Stock Company - a unit specializing in the production of all kinds of brick and construction materials, took place smoothly.

Although it has been established and put into operation for nearly 3 years and still faces many difficulties, with the efforts of the Company's leaders and nearly 200 workers and employees, the factory has created business relationships, developed sustainably, achieved the target of 20 million bricks per year, bringing the average income of workers to over 4 million VND/person/month, and paid to the State budget 2 billion VND/year. In addition, every year the factory actively participates in social security activities in the locality.

In that general result, there are positive contributions from 5 exemplary pioneering party members who are directly participating in management and working here. A company leader said: The establishment of the Party Cell marks a new development step for the Company, because this will be the core to lead the collective of cadres, party members and employees to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; effectively carry out the production and business tasks of the enterprise; constantly improve the lives of employees; develop the enterprise in the right direction, meeting the market economy mechanism in the period of integration and development.

Mr. Phan Van Toan - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee said: After receiving Project 5155, Yen Thanh District Party Committee has directed Party committees at all levels to review Party organizations and Party members in non-state enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises, and at the same time develop programs and plans to establish Party organizations in private enterprises and admit Party members in non-state enterprises. In addition to Tay Nghe Yen Thanh Joint Stock Company, in the first 6 months of 2017, Yen Thanh District Party Committee also directed the establishment of a Party cell of Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company and is guiding the process of establishing a Party cell of Dong Bac TH Joint Stock Company, both of which are under the District Party Committee.

Focus on creating party members

In addition to focusing on establishing new Party cells, Yen Thanh District Party Committee also focuses on developing Party members in private and non-state enterprises. The district's annual Party membership target is 230-300 people, of which Party members in private enterprises account for 2%. Thanks to good propaganda work, a number of private enterprise owners have volunteered to join the Party.

In general, private business owners admitted to the Party have promoted their pioneering and exemplary role in performing the duties of Party members; directly managing and operating production and business enterprises according to the law; well performing their obligations to pay the State budget, caring about the lives of workers, and fully participating in social welfare activities.

In 2015, Mr. Nguyen Van Cau - Director of Cau Dung Company Limited, specializing in construction, materials, and wood processing, was admitted to the Party. He is currently active in the Mai Dinh Hamlet Party Cell, Ma Thanh Commune. Although he is busy with his business, he still fulfills his duties as a Party member well. Mr. Cau confided: Becoming a Party member is not only an honor for himself but also a way for him to educate his two sons who are in college. His children are very proud to have a father who is both a business owner and a Party member.

“By joining the Party, not only do I have the opportunity to promptly absorb and understand new policies and guidelines, but I also have the opportunity to directly contribute ideas to the policies and guidelines of the Party Committee and the government, thereby helping the business develop in the right direction. At the same time, once I become a Party member, I must always uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, and be supervised and reminded by the Party cell to avoid stumbling blocks and temptations in the marketplace…” - Mr. Cau added.

According to the data of the Organizing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee: In the district, there are currently about 20 party members active in non-state enterprise party cells, 38 party members active in credit cooperative party cells. In the first 6 months of 2017 alone, 5 party members were admitted in the enterprise sector, including 2 party members from private enterprises. To facilitate the work of discovering, training and introducing party members, the local Party Committees also pay special attention to establishing trade union organizations in enterprises. Currently, 25 trade union organizations have been established with a total of over 1,300 union members.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee, although there have been many changes, in general, the work of developing party members and party organizations in private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises still faces many difficulties. For one thing, enterprises in the district are mainly small-scale, with few employees, and unstable production and business activities.

Business owners focus on production and business factors, on profits and do not care about developing party members or establishing party organizations in the enterprise. Workers who focus on income and salary are not interested in striving to join the Party. Therefore, in the coming time, the district will continue to focus on supporting grassroots party organizations that have been established in private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises to implement well the rules and working hours, and be exemplary in complying with labor principles, so that enterprises can see that having a party organization will make them stronger, more united and develop more stably.

In addition, the district also focused on directing grassroots party organizations to survey the production and business situation of private enterprises to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of business owners, the operation situation of party organizations and unions. From there, build a plan to develop party members, union members, and association members; create conditions for the elite masses in enterprises in general and business owners in particular to participate in training courses to create a source of party members.

For foreign-invested enterprises such as the Japanese Garment Factory, the district directs the party cells at their residence to create sources and recruit party members who are workers working in the factory so that when conditions are met and there are enough party members, they can establish a party organization in the enterprise - Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung added.
