Previously, on May 17, four officers from the Department of Justice arrested Vo Hoang Minh (27 years old), who was wanted by District 12 police for the crime of Intentional Infliction of Injury in 2015.

The Department of Justice officers discovered that Minh was hiding from a wanted warrant when he came to the Department to apply for a criminal record certificate and secretly reported it to the Criminal Investigation Police Department (PC52, Ho Chi Minh City Police).

On May 17, when Minh went to the Department of Justice to fill out his personal information, the PC52 officers present there took out a wanted notice to arrest Minh. Minh immediately fled the Department of Justice with his wife and got on a motorbike taxi along Pasteur Street.

At this time, PC52 officers and Justice Department officers immediately chased and arrested Minh at the Pasteur-Vo Thi Sau intersection despite Minh and his wife's fierce resistance. Minh was handed over to PC52 and transferred to District 12 police for investigation and handling according to their authority./.
