Providing information about martyrs who are compensated up to 10 million VND

That is the content of the latest decision of the Government regulating the regime, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains, which has just been issued by the Prime Minister.

The Decision clearly states that for officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, defense workers and civil servants on the payroll of specialized teams directly performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains (hereinafter referred to as search and collection teams) in the country and abroad, during the time directly performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains, in addition to the salary, allowances and other regimes according to regulations, they will also enjoy regimes and policies such as allowances, direct compensation, health compensation, additional meals, etc.

In particular, the health allowance when performing duties at home and abroad is increased from 280,000 VND/person to 500,000 VND/person (no more than 2 times/year).

In addition, when performing duties domestically, the allowance for directly performing the tasks of surveying, collecting and collecting martyrs' remains increases from 100,000 VND/person/actual day of duty to 220,000 VND/person/actual day of duty. During the period of duty, if receiving allowance, the allowance will no longer be paid.

The Decision also clearly states that members of the Steering Committee, Special Working Group and Specialized Committees at all levels on the search and collection of martyrs' remains, during the time they directly perform the task of directing the search and collection of martyrs' remains, in addition to the salary, allowances and other regimes according to regulations, will also enjoy a living allowance of VND 220,000/person/day when directly inspecting and directing the search and collection of martyrs' remains at home and abroad. In case of enjoying the living allowance, they will not enjoy the accommodation allowance as prescribed for cadres and civil servants on business trips within the country.

The compensation level for those who provide information about martyrs is also regulated to increase. Specifically, those who provide information about martyrs will be compensated 3 million VND for accurate information, searching, and collecting 1 martyr's remains; 5 million VND for accurate information, searching, and collecting a mass grave with 2-5 martyrs' remains; 10 million VND for accurate information, searching, and collecting a mass grave with 6 or more martyrs' remains. (Decision 75/2013/QD-TTg only stipulates one level of 2 million VND).
