Accordingly, 32 high-quality breeding calves worth 480 million VND (15 million VND/calf) were given to 32 households with especially difficult circumstances in Khe Nong residential area, Chau Khe commune.
Before handing over the cows to the people, the Ethnic Affairs Department staff coordinated to conduct field surveys of poor households here. At the same time, they provided guidance on building barns, care techniques and propagated policies so that households could understand, support and effectively implement them.
According to the project, after 3 years, each household participating in the program will hand over a newborn calf to the local government to continue supporting other poor households.

With the unique feature of being a resettlement area established in 2009, Khe Nong currently has 41 households, mainly from the Dan Lai community. Due to moving to a new place, the lives of the people still face many difficulties, especially the lack of capital and production tools. Therefore, the program to support breeding cows contributes to creating conditions for the people to rise up from poverty and stabilize their lives.
