With the theme “Connecting technology, smart movement”, Vietnam Motor Show 2017 (VMS 2017) officially opened on the afternoon of August 1 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of more than 80 car models from 12 car brands currently present in Vietnam: Chevrolet, Ford, Do Thanh, Fuso, Honda, Isuzu, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki and Toyota.

In addition, VMS 2017 also emphasizes the role of technology in modern life. New technological innovations and inventions, as well as the application of modern technology integrated by manufacturers into cars, help make travel more convenient, comfortable and safe, and improve the quality of life of consumers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Motor Show 2017, Mr. Toru Kinoshita - Chairman of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) said: “The strong change in lifestyle will contribute to the increase in demand for automobiles next year. As the economy and market grow steadily, we expect the “automotive era” to take place in the near future.
