The issue was raised with the leaders of the Ministry of Construction when the incidents and confusing information happened many months ago but until now there is still no information about the verification of the incident by the competent authority.
Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung said that recently, the Ministry's agencies have actively verified to resolve complaints and denunciations about the case of an official appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Southern Planning Institute who used to be a driver of a Deputy Minister of this Ministry.
Accordingly, the agencies of the Ministry of Construction also had specific responses to the complainants.
“As for providing this information to the press, we have issued a document stating that, regarding this issue, the superior agency is clarifying. Specifically, the Central Inspection Committee is sending a delegation to verify this matter, the Ministry of Construction is reporting and coordinating to clarify. After the superior agency clarifies the matter related to these officials, we will discuss specifically with the press. That is why the Ministry is slow to inform about this issue” – Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung said, expected this August.
Concentrate exhibition center in Dong Anh
Also at the press conference of the Ministry of Construction, discussing the recent comments of the Government leaders on approving the partial adjustment of the Hanoi Master Plan, requesting the Ministry of Construction to give its opinion on the direction of adjusting the National Exhibition Center area in Dong Anh district, the representative of the Ministry of Construction said that up to now, the Ministry has not had any official document stating its opinion on this matter.
The Ministry of Construction has only received a request from the Hanoi People's Committee to adjust the planning of the Exhibition Center area as well as the planning of the surrounding land area for ancillary works.
Accordingly, previously, the project to build the National and International Fair and Exhibition Center was divided into two areas: the international center in Dong Anh district and the national center in Me Tri area, Nam Tu Liem district (located on Thang Long Avenue). However, the Hanoi People's Committee believes that if the two fair and exhibition centers are combined and connected, the land in Me Tri will be saved for other purposes.
“Therefore, the city has requested to increase the planned area for the Fair and Exhibition Center in Dong Anh to 300 hectares (the original planning was 90 hectares) to accommodate both exhibition areas as well as arrange land for auxiliary works (such as restaurants, service areas, trade promotion centers, 5-star hotels, shopping centers, etc.)” – said a representative of the Ministry of Construction./.
