This afternoon, August 17, we went to the house of national player Nguyen Cong Phuong. It was a surprise that at just after 2 pm, the house and the stadium were packed with fans. Just like the day before, they came here to cheer for U22 Vietnam and Cong Phuong in the second match of the group stage of men's football at the 29th SEA Games.

Witnessing the fans of Vong Vong village chatting, we can see how knowledgeable and passionate they are about football. They said that in the opening match we were “a bit psychological” and missed many opportunities, but in this match the players will definitely be more confident; they said that Cambodia had just drawn with China in the U23 Asian qualifiers so it would be very difficult to play... However, everyone shared the same opinion that Vietnam would win and their “favorite child” would score again.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Cong Phuong's mother, said: My husband and I planned to cheer for the U22 Vietnam team by investing in this 65-inch TV. Although it is a bit expensive, we are both excited and proud to welcome our neighbors to cheer for our son.

"Hopefully the encouragement from parents and neighbors will inspire Phuong and her teammates to go all the way to Malaysia to win until the final match," Ms. Hoa confided.
It is known that these past few days, Mr. Nguyen Cong Bay and Mrs. Hoa have both been sick, and all the housework is done by their youngest daughter, who is in 11th grade. However, before each match, she goes to the front garden to pick the best green tea leaves to make tea to serve guests.
At exactly 3pm, the match started, and Cong Phuong’s family home was packed with fans. Everyone was watching every move of the players, every play on the TV screen.
They were worried when in the first half, although they dominated the game and attacked a lot, the goals did not come soon. Mr. Nam - Cong Phuong's neighbor shared: "I knew it, playing with Cambodia is not easy."

Then their worries were relieved, because in the last minute of the first half, U22 Vietnam scored a goal to break the deadlock. "Goal...goal...goal...Cong Phuong, it's really our Cong Phuong". It was impressive when everyone shouted Cong Phuong's name in unison.
Nguyen Quang Hung, Cong Phuong's neighbor, happily said: "I knew it, no way Phuong would score. I believe that after this goal, U22 Vietnam will play easier and win another victory."
As Mr. Hung said, after breaking the deadlock, U22 Vietnam played much more freely in the second half.
After the first few minutes of conceding the game to "lure" U22 Cambodia away from their own goal to organize an attack on Vietnam's field. Due to being absorbed in finding the equalizer, U22 Cambodia left a lot of space in their own field. And what had to happen happened, in the 70th minute, Coach Huu Thang's team doubled the gap after a low free kick from a tight angle on the right wing became a surprising goal by Quang Hai.

5 minutes later, Cong Phuong completed his double with a superb right-footed curler to raise the score to 3-0 for U22 Vietnam. The goal made the whole house "explode". However, the joy did not stop because just 1 minute later, SLNA striker Ho Tuan Tai scored the 4th goal for the red team.
At the end of the match, Mr. Bay happily said: "If we keep playing like this, then on August 26, I will definitely go to Malaysia with Mr. Vinh (Cong Phuong's first coach) to watch U22 Vietnam play live at the invitation of Mr. Duc."
Believing that, with what coach Nguyen Huu Thang and his team have shown, Mr. Bay will go abroad for the first time to motivate his son and teammates, helping them have more motivation to bring glory to Vietnamese football./.
