(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 21, comrade Truong Dinh Tuyen - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Trade, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and comrade Hoang Xuan Luong, former Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Government's Ethnic Committee, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and worked in Ky Son district.

At the meeting, Comrade Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ky Son district briefly reported on the socio-economic development, national defense and security; Party building work, building the political system of the district from 2015 to present; major directions and goals of the district from now to 2020 and orientations for the following years.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Truong Dinh Tuyen and comrade Hoang Xuan Luong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee, government and people of Ky Son district have achieved in the past time. At the same time, they suggested the tasks that Ky Son needs to carry out in the coming time: It is necessary to strengthen the development of key crops and animals such as local cows, black pigs, black chickens, taro, green squash, cassava, tam hoa plum, medicinal plants, afforestation... in the direction of commodity production, besides, it is necessary to focus on product output; further maintain the great national unity bloc; strengthen the work of consolidating national defense - security and foreign affairs with districts of Laos.

At the meeting, the district leaders hoped that comrade Truong Dinh Tuyen and comrade Hoang Xuan Luong would pay more attention to the locality in economic development and integration; introduce businesses to invest in exploiting the potential for medicinal development in the district such as: puxailaileng ginseng, codonopsis pilosula, jiaogulan, bo bo, amomum...; introduce investment capital for infrastructure construction, especially for people's roads and traditional houses of the district's ethnic groups.
