Delegations from Nghe An and Laos offer flowers at Ho Chi Minh Square

(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of activities to celebrate the "Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017", on the morning of August 29, the delegation of Nghe An province and provinces of Lao PDR, the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, and the Military Region 4 Command offered flowers at Ho Chi Minh Square.

Attending the ceremony on the Lao side were: Viengxay Dalasen - Ambassador of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam; Somcot Mangnomech - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Xieng Khouang Province; Kongkeo Xaysongkham - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Bolikhamxay Province, and representatives of the leaders of Vientiane, Savannakhet, Khammuen and Huaphan provinces.

On the side of the delegation of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, representatives of leaders of provincial departments and branches.

In front of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegates respectfully offered him a beautiful flower basket, expressing their infinite gratitude and deep respect for the great thoughts and noble life of the genius leader of the Vietnamese revolution, the national liberation hero, the outstanding cultural celebrity, the one who laid the foundation for the Vietnam - Laos friendship.

The delegates pledged to continue to foster, consolidate and further develop the loyal friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to be forever green and everlasting.

On the same morning in Vinh City, the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2017) and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2017) took place.
