The Mazda CX-5 2.0L 2WD SUV is currently priced at just 799 million VND, the lowest price since the beginning of the year.

Following a sharp drop in sales in July, the Vietnamese automotive market is predicted to face further difficulties in August, which coincides with the Ghost Month (according to the lunar calendar). To cope, some manufacturers continue to pursue price reductions and promotions to stimulate demand, with Truong Hai (the Vietnamese automotive group) showing particularly strong action, especially with the Mazda brand.

According to the newly updated price list, Mazda models continue to see price reductions ranging from 15 to 100 million VND compared to the previous month. Specifically, the 2.0L 2WD version is now priced at 799 million VND, while the 2.5L AWD version, the highest-priced model, costs 899 million VND. At dealerships, the actual selling price to customers can even be 9 million VND lower per version.

Besides the Mazda CX-5, other models such as the Mazda 2 and Mazda 3 also had their prices adjusted, with reductions ranging from 10 to 40 million VND. The Mazda 6 D-segment sedan even saw a 106 million VND reduction for the 2.5L Premium version. The other two versions of the Mazda 6, the 2.0 Facelift and 2.0 Facelift Premium, are now priced at 850 and 899 million VND respectively.

The current selling prices of Mazda CX-5 versions are lower than those of its competitors in the same segment.

The Mazda CX-5 is an SUV in the same segment as the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, and Nissan X-Trail. The significant price reduction of the Mazda CX-5 has forced its competitors to follow suit and continuously adjust their pricing to attract customers. Despite this, Mazda CX-5 sales remain superior to the rest.

In the first seven months of 2017, Mazda CX-5 sales averaged over 600 units per month.
